"Sportsbook.com Launches es.sportsbook.com En Espanol"
En Espanol.- First online gambling site catering to America's Hispanic population launched.
This week saw the launching of Sportsbook.com En Espanol by Sportsbook.com,
the world’s largest online sports book and casino. In keeping with its
name, the Sportsbook.com En Espanol site caters to America’s Hispanic population,
estimated at approximately 40 million. America’s Hispanic population is
the largest and fastest growing ethnic minority group and Sportsbook.com En Espanol
is the first such site to specifically cater to it.
The Spanish language site offers casino games, horse racing, poker and
sports betting exactly as the Sportsbook.com English site, but emphasis
will be geared toward the specific interests of the Hispanic population.
Sportsbook.com En Espanol plans to emphasize soccer and boxing which are
very popular within in the Latino community and will feature these sports
on its site in preference to the other gambling sports. Sportsbook.com
En Espanol also plan to provide exclusive promotions which are specifically
relevant to the Hispanic community.
It’s not at all surprising that online casino owners and operators
would want to expand their market by tapping into the financially established
Latin American population. With the phenomenal growth of the online gambling
industry, analysts at rateIndustry are predicting that online gambling
will generate approximately 10 billion dollars in revenue in 2005 and
with Sportsbook.com’s new Spanish language site, the American Hispanic
community will be making a major contribution to that revenue.
To help promote the new site, Sportsbook.com En Espanol is sponsoring
the upcoming May 28 th Julio Caesar Chavez pay-per-view boxing event in
Los Angeles. Anyone interested in visiting the site, can access it at
http://www.es.sportsbook.com.
Tony Delgado, Brand Manager of Sportsbook.com En Espanol said,“Latin
Americans are very passionate about sports and have a tradition of sports
wagering.” “Sportsbook.com En Espanol is delighted to be able
to provide the Spanish speaking community with a site that reflects their
special interests in sports and gaming. Now millions of potential customers
now have the chance to bet in their language – Apuesta en tu idioma!”
He added, “As a group, Hispanics make up nearly 15 per cent of the
population of the United States and today have more disposable income than
at any other time in their history. Online gambling is going to keep growing
in this country and the Latin population is going to be a very important
part of that continued growth.”
